Hardcore Uproar’ was a civil uprising during 1989-91. Set against Britain’s economic decline it re-defined crowd policing tactics, prompted the governments revision of The Criminal Justice Act and gave birth to a soundtrack that would irrevocably changed the face of dance music.
Four of us formed a band inspired by the movement. The original band members of Hardcore Uproar and offshoot Dreamscape are now reissuing the seminal acid house tracks ‘High On Hope’ & ‘I Am The Creator’ as a CD, Vinyl and Digital singles including feature remixes from current dance acts. Additionally we are making High On Hope available as an EP featuring previously unreleased material from back in the day!
And to sum it all up there's a film: Piers Sanderson’s feature length documentary ‘High On Hope’ was completed over 10 years and screened at events throughout 2010-11.
